| From North: Interstate 79 South to I-279. Go across Veteran's Bridge. Take 6th Avenue Exit. Go straight to traffic light and make a left onto 6th Avenue. At next light 6th Avenue curves to the right. Follow 6th Avenue past Robert Morris College. Just past Robert Morris College there are two sets of traffic lights very close to each other. At the second set of traffic lights make a left onto Forbes Avenue (Duquesne University is on your right when you make the left. Go one short block and turn right into the Armstrong Tunnels. At the end of the tunnel go straight across the 10th Street Bridge, up three traffic lights to East Carson. You will see a Cogo on the right and a BP gas station straight ahead. Make a left turn in front of the BP gas station onto Carson. The office is about four blocks up, almost at the corner of 14th and East Carson, on the right side. The entrance building has a white front with large yellow letters against a black background "PAIN RELEASE CLINIC" and "DR. JAMES WINER". The address is 1320. From East: Parkway (I-376 West) through the Squirrel Hill Tunnel. Go down a grade for about 1 mile. Take Glenwood Exit (immediately after the Oakland Exit, about 75 feet after the Oakland exit). Make a right turn at the stop sign and go down the hill to a T intersection. Make a right turn onto 2nd Avenue and go about 1.5 miles. You will see a yellow suspension bridge on your left and a tunnel on your right. Make a left turn onto the bridge (10th street bridge). Go up 3 traffic lights to BP gas station and make a left in front of the BP gas station onto Carson Street. The office is about four blocks just before the corner of 14th and Carson, on the right side. From South: Take Parkway, or I-79 to I-279 (the Parkway) towards "Pittsburgh" heading toward the Fort Pitt Tunnels. Take the last exit before the tunnels, marked "West End". You will be on a cloverleaf curve that then directs you west. When you reach the West End Circle, go about a quarter turn to the right, then make a right onto Carson. Go down the hill, past Station Square to the BP gas station. This will be about 1.5-2.0 miles from the turn you made onto Carson from the West End Circle. Continue almost four blocks on Carson. The clinic is just before the corner of 14th Street and Carson, on the right side. The entrance building has a white front with large yellow letters against a black background "PAIN RELEASE CLINIC" and "DR. JAMES WINER". The address is 1320. From Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, or Oakland sections of Pittsburgh: Take Fifth Avenue towards downtown. Once you get past the business section of Oakland, you will go down a grade. At the bottom of the hill is a traffic light. Make a left onto the Birmingham Bridge. Once across, bear right and make a right onto the main street: Carson Street. Go nine blocks. Office is on left, just past 14th Street and the Starbucks Cafe. The entrance building has a white front with large yellow letters against a black background "PAIN RELEASE CLINIC" and "DR. JAMES WINER". The address is 1320. A Note on Parking. There is street parking on the Pain Release Clinic side of E. Carson. Or you can park on side streets. Once you are about one block north or south of Carson, there are no longer meters. The meters close to the clinic only accept quarters, so try to bring some (or we can give you some). The meters take up to four quarters for a total of two hours. Once past the meters on 14th or 15th street, the parking is free. If the patient has trouble walking, you can double park briefly in front of the clinic. We can come out to assist you if necessary. |
